Rayne Supreme review

This is the last of my Rayne Longboards collection, and probably my favorite of the bunch. They all hold a special place in my heart but this board has something the others don't, versatility from the slight double kicktails. When you set this board on the shortest wheelbase it becomes a double kicktailed slab of freeriding/freestyle awesomeness. It also has a 3d concave that creates pockets and gas pedals AND has a 3 stage rocker that sets it lower to the ground making it easier to push, slide and spin, all while keeping the feel of a traditional top mount. I've never felt anything quite like it.
These boards can take a thrashing too, I've had my others Raynes for a good 2 or so years and have been nothing short of ridiculously abusive with them. I'm constantly trying new things and get hurt and lose a lot of boards in the process, but all of my Rayne longboards have held up through the beatings, the slips, and the slams. The pre-tensioned fiberglass and orange and beeswax finish are what contribute to this amazing durability. A lot don't know about the Rayne supreme's awesome finish but I've become a little eager during the colder, rainy weather and have taken this out rain skating, and while I do take precaution by greasing everything and putting a lacquer over the top the finish repels water and ultimately kept my board from warping, and I've done this way more than once. Again, if you want something that you can freeride, downhill, AND freestyle with, pick up the supreme.

Rayne Hellcat review

The Rayne hellcat longboard is the perfect DH/ freeriding combo. It has a directional shape which may be a little awkward at first for freeriding but you get used to it pretty fast. The Hellcat feels a lot like the Demonseed and the Avenger had a baby without a drop, haha. But it's pleasure dome arch support creates an awesome  reference point for your foot to go to when you're coming out of a tuck and prepping for a slide or vice versa.

One of the biggest perks of the Hellcat is its versatility, it can be dropped through or easily top mounted, just another way to change up your ride if you want to. The Hellcat also comes with a pretty mean leveraging concave so you don't slip out on those sharp turns, and even has sharp edges so your feet don't slide off. Also, the hellcat is super durable with a veritcal laminated bamboo core and pre-tensioned fibreglass, nothing's going to happen to this board as long as you take good care of it and don't try wakeboarding with it or throwing it under cars. In fact, this is the same with all Rayne Longboards. Tell me what you think of this Rayne Hellcat Review and if you have any questions or suggestions, comment!

Rayne Demonseed review

The Rayne Demonseed is all around great board, I've used this for everything from long distance pushing, to downhill racing. It's an amazing board not only because of the double drop which makes pushing and sliding a breeze but because it can hold up to whatever you throw at it, I've curbed it soooooo many times, Lost it into the sides of huge rock walls, had it tossed straight into a pond, and more. Maybe it's because of the sublimated graphic and orange finish (meaning the graphic is tattooed into the board) but I've absolutely thrashed this poor thing and it just keeps going and still looks great! I mean, for 300+ dollars it should, haha.

That being said these boards ARE expensive but Rayne Longboards puts out real quality longboards . Hearing the word quality these days it kind of just gets thrown around but I really mean it with these boards, they're downright amazing in every way. The only complaint I had at first was the concave was too deep, but it's not uncomfortable I was just never used to having my foot that conformed to the board compared to my Loaded Bhangra. Did it ever save my rear on more than one occasion though. There have been quite a few slides I've just barely gotten away with simply because of the extra leverage from the Rayne's awesome concave. I recommend this board over every other Rayne board just because it's THAT good, I absolutely love my Demonseed and it would take a pretty hefty offer to get me to trade mine.

Let me know what you though of my Rayne Demonseed review and if you liked it, leave a comment or question and I'll get back to it ASAP!

Rayne Hustler longboard review

While I wouldn't use my Rayne hustler for more than riding around town or carving down the hills. It IS capable of sliding, there are just much more ideal boards. I learned my first dancing steps on this board, but it's not really a dancing board either. The absolute best thing about this board at least in my eyes, is the finish. I've ended riding this poor guy through some pretty rough weather (for about 4-5 hours at a time, it's a long story) and while I did wrap it in a towel as soon as I got inside and soaked my bearings, but I feel if it weren't for the bee orange finish it would have warped, but still rides fine to this day. I don't use it all that much anymore because I hit a lot of hills in my new town and need something a little more stable.
For carving around 25-35 and pushing through the city this baby is gold. In fact, pushing around on this is nearly effortless, and is one of the smoothest riding boards I've ever ridden, but unfortunately my cruddy town has way too many hills and kind of ruins my experience with this board. If you do a lot of city riding and don't care much for doing any freestyle or sliding then hop on this board right away. You'll likely never need another cruiser again unless it gets shot under a car or something. Rayne longboards are ridiculously durable even if you thrash the crap out of them and ride them through the dookest of weather, they'll assuredly outlast your trucks, wheels, and bearings, even if you're not taking care of it. And if you are, all the better.

Please tell me if you thought my Rayne Hustler review was helpful though and leave a comment if you have any questions or suggestions!

Rayne Avenger longboard review

The Rayne avenger longboard is superb for both downhill and freeriding. While it does have a directional feel, I've ridden my fair share of both directional and directional boards and while a directional board may feel kind of odd riding the other way, you get used to it and definitely shouldn't change your opinion of this amazing board.

I feel the best part of this board is the pleasure dome arch support/W concave. It really help when you're hitting those big hills and need to get into position for tucking, or prepping for a slide but can't afford to look, because it gives a great reference point and when you're needing to take to the corners it conforms to your foot so the board feels almost like an extension of your body. Also, the concave while it does sound cliche really locks you in and I have yet to slip off this beast of a board. The only other thing I can think of is it's amazing wheel wells that allow me to run my Durians and Bigzigs even with 44 degree trucks. I love my Avenger and  still come back to it every now and again to hit the hills. Tell me what you thought about my Rayne Avenger longboard review I've done on this site and you should let me know if it was helpful or not, please leave a comment on anything else you'd like to know!

Rayne Rival

The Rayne Rival being the slightly shorter version of the supreme comes with just as many features. The sharp edges, and mean cave for almost a binding like feel that's made in such way that it provides pockets and gas pedals. Also, for both the Rival and Supreme, it has multiple wheelbases and the shorter one provides 2 small kicktails for doing some freestyle if you get tired of just cruising around town or hardcore bombing hills. There's no doubt Rayne Longboards puts a lot of work into their boards and you can tell just by picking up one of their boards. Of all of the longboards in the shop, quality, and aesthetic wise Rayne longboards is the top of the line.

Rayne supreme longboard

Rayne Longboards really did something that most other board companies have never done. That's look at their boards and actually be baffled at all the new dimensions, concaves, amazing tatooed artworks, and oddly effective (while discreet) gas pedals. These boards are really crazy! They have super sharp edges for not only a clean look but once gripped really helps keep your feet locked in, rounded edges can make things slippery.  A 3 stage rocker for a low feel even though it's top mounted, essentially giving you the stability benefits of a drop through without giving up the traction of a top mount. Rad 3-d concave that makes sure you won't be going anywhere if you don't want to while providing gas pedals AND pockets. The Rayne supreme complete longboard is really a true piece of work. Before Rayne I've never seen so much done with a board, while they're a tad pricy any of their boards are MORE than worth your money.

Rayne Vendetta

So you'll start to notice a pattern here, The Rayne Vendetta, Nemesis, Demonseed, and Hellcat are all, somewhat the same and here's the thing. The Nemesis is a shortened demonseed which is an amazing all around board but excels on larger mountain hills, the hellcat excels in urban areas and for commuting. The Vendetta however is for those that want a popular multi directional shape with a bit of flex for an easier time commuting, and cruising, while also having the option to carve and pump well.

You hear a lot of people argue that it's just another nemesis but it's not, the nemesis wasn't made to flex and wont absorb any of the shock while riding, however it's much more reliable for downhill as the flex can be sketchy at high speeds. The Rayne Vendetta while flexy though is not any less durable than the other Rayne boards it's just as tanky with the bamboo core and pretensioned fiberglass. If you're into carving and cruising, and freeriding more than downhill then for sure get a hold of the Vendetta.

Rayne Babykiller

So in all reality the Babykiller is just a smaller version of a killswitch but since I'm just such a huge fan of shortened down boards that are already super stable why not get it shortened simply because it's easier to tote around and can be used in the cities too, not to mention you're less likely to overshoot on a tighter turn. This is just the way I look at it, and shortening down this godly board just makes it all the more so in my opinion.

The Rayne Babykiller has a pleasure dome concave which is basically a w concave with 2 more concaves within that, that really locks in the ball of your foot and you heel, and not to mention the sharp edges of this board are going to keep you really locked in on top of the aggressive concave that is also surprisingly comfortable due to the pleasure dome since it acts as a type of arch support, and this is coming from a guy that has to look for boards that aren't bad for my feet as I have to accomodate my high arches. But if you're looking for an amazing downhill, freeride, or cruiser then please pick up the babykiller in either top mount or drop through, top mount if you're looking for control, and drop through if you're looking for more stability or an easier time sliding.

Rayne Nemesis

The Rayne Nemesis is the ideal board for someone that wants a multi directional, drop through board that's a bit smaller and is better for city riding or hills with tighter turns. It's got a pretty standard 10" width, and has an adjustable wheelbase in case you're looking for more stability down hills or sharper turning and easier sliding. I recommend the Nemesis to anyone looking for a great cruising, downhill, or freeriding board. I think it's a little more of a jack of all trades than most other Rayne boards and can do just about anything you really want it to.

For all of those concerned, this board is an absolute tank and will take any abuse you can dish out, unless you're an absolute monster, there are those people that just destroy a board no matter what, but I'm sure this board would put you to the test. The Nemesis has a deep tub concave for a more secure feeling on the heels and balls of your feet for more precise turns. If you're not too into having a super LONGboard then be sure to check out the nemesis, because in all honesty I am a little opininated towards shorter boards since I usually have to carry them everywhere and I don't have a lot of SUPER huge hills in my area so I don't have to worry about too much about crazy stability most the time and like focusing more on freeriding, but this board could keep up with some of the best downhillers out there so be sure to check it out.

Rayne Killswitch

This board is what really gave me back my confidence when doing downhill, with my last 2 boards I didn't have as much confidence as I did with this. This board is anyone looking for a super stable downhill board that's great for freeriding and perfectly capable of being a great commuter/cruiser. This board has both a drop through and top mount option however if you're undecided you can also get the drop through version and top mount it if you feel so be sure to keep that in mind.'

The Rayne Killswitch has a 3/8" dropped platform that creates little pockets that hold your feet in for more confidence on turns and during heelside slides, and standups. Not to mention there are countless other things to help give you a more locked in feeling, however it would take to long to explain ALL of them. But all in all the Killswitch is an amazing downhill/freeride board and is what really helped me learn how to slide and do standies, so if you're looking for an ultra reliable board then look no further.

Rayne Hellcat

The Hellcat is another one of those super versatile freeride/downhill boards. But unlike most downhill boards it's built more around city riding rather than downhill, can take tighter turns due to it having a shorter wheelbase than most. I recommend the hellcat to people who're looking for less of a speedboard and more a freeride and slope style board or for hills with a lot of corners and hairpins.

The Rayne Hellcat reason it's so nice for the city is it's special pleasure dome concave that adds another concave on top the W concave that it already has to lock in the ball of your foot and your heel. It also has a directional shape that although you don't get the bonus of being able to ride switch as easy is weighted more towards the front for a little extra feel. And lastly, these Rayne boards are really nothing short of tanks, with their vert laminated bamboo cores with fiberglass, they're amazingly durable and also dampen obstructions in the road without giving at all.

Rayne Demonseed

The Rayne Demonseed is something that a lot of new-school freeriders look for, A drop through deck, with a twin shape for making switch riding easier. Well the Rayne Demonseed is redefining how drop through twin shapes should feel. The Demonseed is made with a vert bamboo core with a layer of pre tensioned fiberglass for extra durability as well as a linear dropped platform to help keep your feet in place.

The great thing about the Rayne Demonseed is it has an aggressive yet comfortable concave coupled with the dropped platform and drop mounted truck, this board was made to take on any hill you could ever imagine. The Demonseed is also super stiff so you're sure not to get bounced on any high speed runs. I recommend the Demonseed to anyone looking for a hardcore downhill, mountainy downhill board.

Rayne Hustler

The Rayne Hustler is an amazing city board, it's a truly top notch commuting board and could even be set up for carving (Not much a carving guy though so I can't really give much feedback on that). The Hustler has a smooth camber for smoother entries and exits into turns. And the Hustler also comes with an "elasta flex" as well which is meant to give a very surfy feel to your turns and gives a very lively flex and rebound.

The Hustler now also has a larger wheel well in case you want a larger wheel on it to prevent wheel/railbite. Although this board is flexible and cambered it's also pretty honkin durable. It has a laminated bamboo core which is not only light but makes this board a tank, and you can always get guards for th nose and tail if you ever put your board in harms way but you shouldn't have to worry about delamination with awesome city shredder.

Rayne Avenger

The Rayne avenger is a board that any downhiller/freerider is sure to love. The Avenger was designed to help people perfect their toe slides, pre drifts, and stand up slides with it's new state of the art concave. It's 38" long and has multiple wheelbase options being 28.25", 29", 29.25", or 30", and is 10" wide. It has a directional shape, and a fiberglass/bamboo core for more durability.

The Avenger comes with Rayne's special "Pleasure dome" technology. The pleasure dome grips your toes where there normally is no concave and helps lock your feet on heelside turns, the closest thing I can compare it to is the "W Bowl" concave landyachtz offers on some of their boards, but from just riding this around for a couple of hours I can feel the difference, and not only is it more comfortable than regular concave on my feet but it felt almost like my shoes melted to the board going down hills. On top of this the avenger also comes with some really deep wheel wells to keep from wheelbiting, and some sharp edges for the final touch for a little extra security. The Avenger is a must for any downhill/freeriding fans.
